Just Jam!
What's it all about?
It's a musicians night, hosted by Ollie, Olly & Oli, 3 guys from Dawlish who want nothing more than to get as many open minded men and women to form allegiance in one place, for one night, for one thing...and that is to JUST JAM!
Who can take part?
Anyone with musical tendencies is welcome to have a go. Singers, drummers, guitarists, spoonophonists you name it. Heck, even dancers are welcome to join in with the shenanigans! We're not clicky by the way!
How does the system operate?
Basically we provide the equipment ie PA, drum kit, guitar amps etc and all we ask is that you bring your own instruments. The three O's usually kick things off for a couple of tracks and then after that it's a free jam. We'll rotate things frequently in order to give you 3 or 4 slots spread out over the night.
What if I don't really want to jam with others?
We realise that jam sessions can be daunting for some people however it is often said that a musician learns his trade by the integrity of his mind and by the influence of his peers.
Actually we just made that up, but what we're trying to say is don't be afraid to get stuck in and learn things the hard way. That's what makes a jam so rewarding.
However if you're still not convinced, fear not because we will allocate a certain amount of time for soloists or duets.
Where and when does Just Jam! take place?
Just Jam! takes place every 3 weeks (unless it's a major sports night) in the Lansdowne, Dawlish (see gig lists for detaisl)
