Lemonrock review: "Another sizzling recording, bumped into, no apology given, it was on its way somewhere far more important. Polished rock vocals (and great, distinctive harmony BVs), tight playing, and an openness to this recording that highlights all the individual parts without the whole scene ever getting too crowded. Did we like this a lot? Oh yes, we did."

Lemonrock review 2 Jul 08: "Here's a great example of an original song that is so well recorded and produced (as well as being a great tune!) that the uninitiated public would be asking themselves "Who did this originally?". With a classic Rock voice, and a great sense of harmony, Matt's delivery is full of passion. Here's a musician with a great track record, who's still out there delivering the goods to appreciative audiences in the West country."

Lemonrock review 26 Jun 08: "Punchy new sound from talented Hertfordshire trio. Comparisons with Alanis Morissette and Portishead are inevitable, maybe, but Emma's vocal has a raw presence and gravelly edge that is compelling to listen to. With nice touches of electric guitar carefully spaced around the riff-led bass'n'drums track, we think you'll find "Code" a cracking tune..."

Lemonrock review 20 Jun 08: "So, there I was, sipping my prescription Martini, wondering why, in all the bars in town, she had come into mine. The way she moved was poetry on a light summer breeze, and my heart skipped a beat as she slowed down and stopped at my table. "Who are these guys?" I heard her ask, almost a whisper. I looked up at her over the top of my shades, and said "Hi, come on and sit down, it's Kaizen, aren't they great?" And the rest, as they say, is history. Or it will be soon. Look out for these guys, as they say in the movies."

Lemonrock review 7 Jun 08: "Possibly the top contender for "Most bizarre song title of the Year", here's a great melodic rock song in a lilting Skynyrd/Free/Stones vein, with words that capture the imagination. In an ocean of rock covers, it's always good to find bands writing their own material that, given time and determination, could easily become tomorrow's covers themselves."

Get the Flash Player (and enable JavaScript) to listen to this MP3. Julian Hinton's pageoriginal track Julian Hinton [Acoustic Piano]   Track: Keep An Eye On Me

Lemonrock review 28 May 08: "Sensitive, graceful piano control, and absolutely stunning vocals. You thought they broke the Aretha mould? Think again! Featuring Niamh McNally on vocals, this is a beautiful soulful ballad that warms us up gently with gorgeous piano, simmers for a while with the addition of a sprig of organ, and swings, in blues gospel style, to the end of the course... a highly satisfying, very well recorded track that captures so much detail you really can imagine being there. The song is regularly performed as part of Julian's regular night run by him at Viva Viva in Hornsey, North London, with a band and various guest singers, including Niamh. We'd say - watch out for these people, get down there and listen, and have yourselves an acoustic feast!"

Lemonrock review 8 May 08: "If we said the words "tuneful", "controlled", "passionate", "involving" and "exemplary", you might think we're talking about some pristine classical symphony, or perhaps we've gone slightly mad in the heat. But no... with the most incredible set of prog/heavy sounds in a massive driving rock meltdown of a song, Souljacker prove that you don't have to be 300 years old to write music worthy of poetic praise. Make sure you are heavily weighted down before listening... otherwise it is reasonable to predict this will blow you into the next town. Brilliant."

Lemonrock review 2 May 08: "A young band that shows huge promise. Highly distinctive vocals that carry a trademark harmony style. This is passionately played acoustic pop - with unexpected turns of style - that's fun to listen to. Taken from the Toerag sessions E.P, this track was recorded totally live with no overdubs. Go see Tinlin live if you can!"

Get the Flash Player (and enable JavaScript) to listen to this MP3. Nicky Swann's pageoriginal track Nicky Swann [Acoustic]   Track: In Too Deep (demo)

Lemonrock review 24 Apr 08: "Chocolate, anyone? Gentle but emotive guitar ballad from Devon's finest singer/songwriter, Nicky Swann. Effortless playing and sun-ripened, sweetly simmering vocals blending together into a lilting, slightly mesmerising, 75% cocoa solids melody. Dark, smooth and slightly bitter, addictive and likely to keep you awake for some time, without the headache. Yes, we want *more*..."
