The Rose and Crown is a traditional 16th century pub situated in the beautiful village of St Michaels close to the heart of St Albans. The pub is located opposite the entrance to Verulamium Lakes and close to the Roman museum. The Rose and Crown has a classic beamed bar with a huge inglenook and is renowned for both it's chatty and welcoming atmosphere and some of the best real ales around. The lunch time menu includes excellent gourmet sandwiches, a must to try are "Porky Pig", "Clarke Gable" and "Gobble Gobble", all served on fresh white farm house or granary bread. The evening menu provides excellent pub food with everything from homemade chili con carne to fish and chips, all available in large helpings.
Why not sit in the fully walled and established garden under the willow tree watching the world go by. The Rose and Crown is long established as a music venue with regular music nights catering for music tastes from folk to jazz as well as the best in local rock and acoustic lineups.
